We surfed through the internet, watched videos and read interviews from Jessica, Tiffany, Yuri and all remaining members of SNSD to combine all the information that are out there about the SNSD leg workout. But for now lets focus on the SNSD leg workout that makes their legs so pretty and thin. What do they do to maintain those legs? We watched and read everything we could find about their exercising methods and put everything together for you.

This 3-5-2 workout is definitely better than doing nothing and will get some results for you. But it is really not enough to get your legs in the shape you want them to be.

- 15 Hip kicks
- 20 Squats
- 10 Lunges
- 15 High knee
- 10 Hip raises
- 15 Thigh Hover

1. Bonus: Take the stairs. Wherever you go, always take the stairs instead of the elevator. Your legs will thank you for it later.

This is the IU Diet
The following is the diet IU goes through, when she has to loose weight quickly. For example, before a photo shoot or before filming. So please take in mind that this is not a long term fix for your daily diet and should not be done without consulting your house doctor. The IU diet is basically structured like this:
- 1 apple for breakfast
- 1 sweet potato for lunch
- 1 proteine shake for dinner
This is really not much to eat, when you consider that Kpop idols also have an extreme exercise and practice routine. The three meals together make for about 700 calories a day, which could vary depending on the portion shake she was drinking for lunch. We are not sure which protein shake IU was drinking during her diet, but we would recommend a misugaru shake, if you want to stick with Korean food.
As you can see, this is not a long term fix for your daily food intake and IU herself admitted that she received treatment for bulimia, in the past. So anybody who wants to copy her diet, should be aware of the risks and should consult a doctor about this.
This is quite the extreme Kpop diet and we don’t recommend you be on this weight loss experience for long. What we alternatively recommend for you is a healthy Korean diet that will provide you with tasty and healthy food, while you loose weight in the long term. The Korean Diet is the solution
Alternatively to one apple, one sweet potato and one protein shake per day, we recommend our Korean diet plan, which will help you in a meaningful way. If you want a quick and not so healthy solution for your weight than the IU diet might be for you. Korean diet pills seem to be a nice shortcut for a lot of people, who want to lose weight quickly. I understand that many of you would like to kickstart your diet with a little helper. Trust me, we all have been there. It just sounds so good, losing a few pounds by taking a few pills. But there are problems that cannot be fixed with a pill, no matter how many good reviews that product has. And diet pills from Korean are no exception.
I want to give you a few reasons, why you shouldn’t take Korean diet pills, to spare you problems and grieve. But I will also give you an alternative to the pills which will help you to finally lose weight and be healthy.
Lets start with the three reasons why you shouldn’t take Korean diet pills:
1. Only a quick fix
Sure, you can take diet pills and it might help you to lose weight for a while. A few days, maybe even weeks. But as long as you don’t change your entire diet, you will always come back to the starting point. Some might call that the jo-jo-effect, I just call it a bad diet. If you want to fix your weight for a short period of time, go ahead and purchase a couple of pills. But if you really want to lose weight and slim down, you should rather invest the money and the time into something that will actually work longterm and change your life.
2. Risk your health
Yes, there are pills which seem to be save and approved by certain institutes and standards. But they are mainly just blocking your appetite, meaning you just don’t want to eat. And your body needs food to make sure that he can go an entire day. Don’t do this to yourself and your body. It will not last anyway and it is super unhealthy.
The even bigger risk with Korean diet pills, or any other, is the danger of health-threatening products. What if you try that amazing new pill that seems to help everybody and you afterwards have to live with horrible consequences because the product ist just a mixture of bad ingredients. And some of them might even be dangerous to you. An increase in heart attack risk is one of these dangers, to just name one example. Do you really want to take this kind of risk? You don’t have too.
3. Getting addicted
This is not only a problem for people who are easily addicted to anything. It could also become a problem for you. Some of the ingredients are highly addictive, which makes sense because they want to sell you a lot of them. So stay away from them in the first place and don’t take such a risk.

It is all about your daily habits, the food you eat, how much you exercise and how much you really want that desirable body. And you don’t have to risk your health to get to your goals. The girls from SNSD are not only famous for their wonderfully bubble gum like music, but also for their fascinating ways of dieting. We talked about the SNSD diet before and decided, due to great demand, to give you more information on this particular Kpop diet. We decided to start it off with 10 diet lessons we all can learn from Girls Generation. There will be more content in the future, but let’s get started with this list of actionable weight loss advice.
1. The right amount of food matters
You will not lose a considerable amount of weight, if you are not able to control your meal portions. You have to be as strict with yourself as Jessica was reportedly with herself by only eating half an egg instead of an entire one. This might sound crazy, but it shows that you have to limit your portions.
2. Eat more than 3 meals a day
Tiffany went on record and said that the girls „definitely eat more than 3 meals a day“ and specifying it by adding that “We eat 5 meals a day.” Which is reasonable and understanding if you take in consideration that they workout a lot. So rather go for five small meals than for three big ones. According to research, it is very healthy to spread out your meals throughout the day.
3. You have to exercise
Hyoyeon mentioned that the girls „exercise when we think we have gained weight“. I think that this is quite an understatement though. Because the girls are busy with their dance workouts every day and this is a fantastic way to burn some calories. Tiffany also does yoga which seems to help her quite a bit to stay in shape.
4. Genetics and metabolism matter
A strict diet and a hard workout regime will not have the same results for everybody. All members of Girls Generation seem like they have the perfect metabolism. But not everybody is that lucky. So it might take you some more work than it takes them.
5. Drink a lot of water
Tiffany said in an interview with Elle Magazine that she drank 1500ml of water everyday before a video shooting. It is also backed by scientific research that the right amount of water can have a big impact on your weight loss goals.
6. You are not a girl group member (supposedly)
When starting your diet, you have to take in consideration that you don’t have the same schedule as the girls from SNSD. You don’t have to make it through 3,5 hours of a dance-heavy show on a regular basis. Meaning. you have to adjust your diet to your life.
7. You need a good motivation
Some of the girls don’t have to worry about staying in shape at all. Others such as Jessica and Tiffany did have to put a lot of effort in their diet. And they did it because they knew they had to. They wanted to look good n their videos and on their tour. They were really motivated. You will need a very strong motivation as well.

You are not doing yourself any favors if you are overdoing your workout. Yes it is good that you are committed to it and it is better than doing nothing. Set yourself a goal and workout accordingly. This will also prevent you from getting hurt.
2. You don’t have a plan
You need a Kpop workout plan to use your time wisely. It is important that you make a plan for yourself. It sounds more difficult than it actually is. Get some inspiration for a workout from our articles. It will take time to get the body you want. But with a good workout plan you will get there. 3. You are not warming up
Beginners often skip the warm up or just keep it very short. But a good warm up is the basis for your workout. You need to get your body ready for the Kpop workout. This includes stretching and some cardio. This way you will prevent injuries and lose weight at the same time. And your body will look leaner.
4. Running is your only cardio option
If you want to lose weight, you have to burn it with regular cardio workouts. It is that simple. But cardio workouts can get boring. Especially if you always do the same one. If you don’t want to go running anymore you should have a look for alternatives. And there are plenty alternatives you can consider. Basketball, swimming, soccer, tennis, volleyball, etc.
5. Unrealistic expectations
If you expect to look like a member of Girls Generation within the next week you might be in for a devastating let-down. Don’t set unrealistic goals. This doesn’t mean that you will neer get that beautiful shaped body. But it will take some time. Take this in mind. Otherwise you will have a hard time sticking to the Korean diet and your Kpop workout.
6. Incorrect form of the workout
By doing a workout wrong, you can not only be inefficient but also in for a injury. To avoid this you should get your execution right. Watch videos on how to workout right or get a personal trainer, if you want to be sure. A personal trainer can be very helpful, especially in the beginning of your journey.
7. Sleeping to less
Sleeping is an important part of your overall well-being. You need sleep to give your body enough time to rest from your Kpop workout. Additionally, a good amount of sleep will benefit your health tremendously.
8. You listen to the wrong workout songs
